Asia&pacific : Pakistan Air Force live missile firing exercise Concludes

A three-day live missile firing exercise conducted by Pakistan Air Force concluded successfully at Somniani Range Monday.

In the live missile firing exercise, all types of fighter aircraft and surface-to-air missile units of Pakistan Air Force actively participated.

Various types of air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles on the inventory of PAF were successfully employed by the combat pilots and controllers during the exercise.

The missile firing camp- 2007 was marked with accurate and skillful handling of the missiles by combat pilots and controllers.

The missile firing camp is a yearly event in which PAF provides real time training to its Fighter Pilots and Air Defence Controllers to enhance their skills by firing various categories of air-to-air, air-to-ground and surface-to-air missiles in real time battle field environments.

The live missiles firing exercise-2007 was witnessed by Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed, Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force, and a large number of senior officials of the three services, who lauded pilots and controllers for their professional and accurate firing of all types of missiles on PAF inventory
