US defence and aerospace major, Lockheed Martin, launched a programme Tuesday that aims at accelerating Indian technologies into US markets and other parts of the world. It said that it would conduct the programme in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), and Texas University.
According to a news report in aviation news journal Flight Global, India's aerospace research laboratory, the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), is going to organize a demonstration of micro air vehicles (MAVs) in an urban environment in March 2008 for the US Army. The demonstration will most likely take place at an Indian defence facility in Agra in the northern part of India.

Naval ships of India and Russia On Tuesday launched their three-day joint war games in the sea of Japan in Russia's far east to hone skills to counter terror threats on high seas and destroy enemy submarines.
The war games codenamed Indra-2007 are aimed at practicing cooperative engagement in the fight against terrorism, Russian pacific fleet said in its press release. It is the third such joint exercise since 2003.

A US Navy jet crashed during an air show, plunging into a neighbourhood of small homes and trailers and killing the pilot, the county coroner said.
Witnesses said the planes were flying in formation during the show on Saturday at the Marine Corps Air Station and one dropped below the trees and crashed, sending up clouds of smoke. At least one home was on fire.
