Himalayas is known for their salubrious climate and show capped peaks and is favorite destination for foreign tourist, and on the other hand India’s famous tourist spot ‘GOA’
Is also is famous for its golden sand beaches and historical monuments and great party night outs, but both this tourist destination have one thing in common they have large number of foreign visitors particularly from a country which is always in a war like situation, Israeli citizens are one of the largest visitors to India and specially to Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh and konkan region state of goa ,most of them are recently been demobilized from three years of compulsory military service and seek escape from endless armed confrontation back home ,unrelenting atmosphere of sectarian tension ,fear and suicide bombings have been driving large numbers Israeli citizens to India ,after receiving large sum of money after their military services and looking for some freedom and fun find India to be their favored destination , himachal states official have slated that nearly two- thirds of estimated 90,0000 foreign tourists that visited the state are Israelis and their favorite spots in Himachal Pradesh has been old manal, kasul ,and nagger ,what drives them to this places ? Which Indians hardly have heard about? Its malena cream its top quality hashish which are grown in the back drops of Himalayan kingdom, alcohol, hashish and trance parties goes in hand in hand in this places, trance parties are organized deep inside the jungles and only few rich Indians mostly from Delhi and Chandigarh are allowed to attends this parties, all kind of drugs are available here, most of local boys turn up as part time Dj for this parties and even speak Hebrew ,Israeli shekels are well accepted by the locals with standard dollars ,pounds and euros ,even local guest house and local hotels have welcoming words in Hebrew ,Goa is famous for the same reason with the Israeli tourist with hot beaches like anjuna ,calcugute ,and baga mostly Israelis love to stay in the shacks (small temporary hotels built near beach side only in the tourist season ) or in the local houses given up for rent ,Goa is famous for another type of party ,which are called Goa Trance parties ,this parties are also known as beach parties, acid parties or raves, again this types of parties are combo of alcohol and drugs ,this are mostly organized by some locals and some rave party makers ,locals in this area provide them the facility and even protect them against police or Narcotics department ,DJs are flown from all over the world New Zealand, ,Melbourne and S.Africa , idrw.org members vinay and ajay recently visited this famous north Goan beaches , Much of Goa has long been blissfully unaware, but the full world knows about it. At least youngsters do, whether they come from Israel, Scandinavia, Britain or elsewhere. "Trance Parties" that spawned the music called Goa-Trance since the mid-nineties, if not earlier, have become a big fashion among young foreign tourists in pockets of the North Goa coastal belt. Now elite kids from Mumbai and Delhi or elsewhere are joining the bee-line to these beach events. Goa built up its reputation as an easy-drugs paradise right from the late 'sixties. Hippies from that era, who have published their memoirs, give the indication that Goa was an "easy" place for drugs as compared to even Bali in Indonesia or Thailand. Interestingly, one stretch of the Anjuna beach has been re- christened the Tel Aviv beach. But Israeli consular quarters some young Israelis, formerly in military service, caught on drug-offenses here have spoken about the need to find ways to cope with the tensions of their stress-filled nation. Have taken pains to argue that the drug-reports about their citizens are grossly played up. They argue that out of the hundreds of visiting Israeli tourists, just a handful is caught on drug charges. Silo de Beers, reporter with the Hebrew newspaper 'Yedioth Ahronoth' visited Goa with other foreign media persons and took them to one party.
Mr. Beers was quoted saying that the news of Israeli youth heading for Goa acid parties had caused concern with some citizens even calling upon the government to charter a special plan to bring back their youth. A few Israeli youth had been treated in mental hospitals after binges in Goa on drugs like Ecstasy, Beers. one of the locals said “ they have no nonsense attitude have good money but are little kanjuss “ other local named Mervin said that they some time get in to fights and it becomes little difficult has mostly are well built and have some sort of military training ,but both have denied use of drugs in this parties ,but some other locals have confessed to us about it , Policemen also try to bust parties when they've not been paid-off adequately, in our investigation we found that even some Israelis organize this kind of rave parties and even bring some special equipments needed for this parties from abroad ,this kind of parties are mostly for the foreign tourist and other then the local organizers you will not find any Indian there ,last year vinay on his visit to anjuna beach even had a chat with Israeli air forces pilot on vacation in goa ,Goa has been seeing large number of direct charter flights from Israel now ,has this year is coming to end locals there are all geared up to welcome this foreign tourists and for numerous rave parties ,it seems like that India is fast becoming party place for the Demobilized Israeli soldiers seeking some relive from tensions and stress
