While the whole Tejas program seems to have gripped by a sudden rise in urgency by the Indian air force, while first flight of the limited serial production aircraft (LSP-1) which took to air this April might have given the boost to the whole urgency show to the program, but all is not well in Hal Tejas production line, the work on the remaining seven limited serial production aircraft (LSP) is painstakingly slow, if that’s not all Hal is also facing minor glitches on the first LSP, while delay s can be attributed to the time wasted in the setup of the production line by Hal even when the funds were released to Hal by ministry of defense almost two years before Hal insisted to set up the production facility, while the work on full scale production facility for the Tejas as been going on for a while now ,but the work on the limited serial production aircraft (LSP) is quite slow ,last of the Tejas LSP (LSP-8) will only take to air exactly two years from now in mid 2009 and first production Tejas will only take to air in end of 2009 ,while Hal only be able to deliver 12 production Tejas by 2010 in total only 20 Tejas (LSP-8,Production-12)while on the kaveri engine front it as been reported that Kaveri K-9 will be taken to Russia for further Testing and will be able to be installed on the PV-1 airframe by end of 2009 ,while MMR Radar will be put to testing on Tejas platform by March 2008 with A2G nodes coming from Israel
