The Indian Air Force today inducted 372 airmen at a passing out parade at the air station in Tambaram near Chennai.
Dubbed as air warriors they took the modular pattern training for a period of nine months at the base. Among them were eight foreign trainees from Namibia, Mauritius and Cambodia.
After reviewing the parade, Air Commodore TK Varma said serving in the IAF demands very high standard of professionalism and dedication to service and there should be constant effort in their endeavour to improve and enhance the skills and knowledge acquired during the training.
Emphasising that the job is challenging, satisfying, rewarding and bright, he appealed to utilise the ample opportunities available to them for achieving greater heights.
During the occasion he conferred the best all rounder trophy to LAC Nitesh Kumar Singh of Mechanical Training Institute and LAC KG Hebballi of Workshop Training Institute.
