BY : raf.mod.uk The Red Arrows are set to unveil a new aircraft paint-scheme this week as they leave the UK on a six-week overseas tour. The change to the world-famous design is thought to be the first major permanent alteration since the Red Arrows took delivery of their Hawk aircraft in 1979. “The Red Arrows’ Hawk aircraft are known and loved by millions of people around the world.” said Wing Commander Jas Hawker, Red 1. “We needed to keep a careful balance between making our famous aircraft unrecognisable and reminding people that we are proud to represent the Royal Air Force. This is especially important when many Royal Air Force personnel are away from home, serving overseas in front line operations such as Afghanistan and Iraq. We are a visible way of reminding people of our colleagues’ hard work and professionalism in the line of duty. The change to our aircraft paint scheme will help us to do this more effectively.” The Red Arrows will leave the UK on Sunday 04 November 2007 for a six-week tour of the Middle and Far East, returning to the UK on 18 December 2007. They are set to visit 13 countries, including Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Malaysia, India and Pakistan. During their 15,000 mile trip they will perform their famous air display a total of 18 times. Millions of people are expected to turn out to watch the Team display during the course of the goodwill tour. The tour has been made possible by the support of two UK companies; BAE Systems and Rolls-Royce. “We are proud to represent the UK overseas.” said Wing Commander Hawker, “We hope to demonstrate the very best of British to millions of people in the countries we will visit, both in terms of the skill of our people and of the quality of the Hawk aircraft that we fly.”Flying the BAE Systems Hawk, all nine display pilots are operational fast jet pilots from front-line Royal Air Force squadrons. They will be supported during the six-week tour by a support team of 30 Royal Air Force personnel. The BAE Systems Hawk aircraft plays a key role within the Royal Air Force and other air forces world-wide. With a top speed exceeding Mach 1.2, the Hawk is powered by a Rolls Royce Adour engine producing 5,200lb of thrust. During the Red Arrows’ 23-minute display, pilots pull up to eight times the force of gravity, showing off the aircraft’s power and manoeuvrability. 2007 is the Red Arrows’ 43rd display season. Since the Team’s creation in 1965, the Red Arrows have flown over 4,000 displays in 53 countries. |

Prince Bandar Named in Multi-Billion Dollar Bribe Scheme With British Defense Giant BAE
June 7, 2007 (LPAC)--The longtime Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, who now is the head of national security for the Kingdom, received nearly $2 billion in bribes from a British arms manufacturer over a period of two decades. Prince Bandar bin-Sultan, who is also the son of the Saudi Minister of Defense, received payments into the Saudi Arabian embassy accounts in Washington at Riggs Bank, from BAE Systems, the British defense company that manufactures Tornado and Hawk jet fighters.
According to a BBC investigation, aired on June 6, the payments into the Saudi slush fund in Washington, D.C. were made beginning in 1985, when the Saudi government and BAE signed a $100 billion deal, under which the British company would provide fighter jets to the Kingdom, and would conduct other military-related construction projects. The payola scandal between BAE and Prince Bandar implicates every British government from Margaret Thatcher, through John Major and Tony Blair.
While the BAE-Saudi bribery scandal has been brewing for years, on Dec. 14, 2006, Lord Goldsmith, the British Attorney General, announced that the official probe, conducted by the Serious Crimes Office (SCO) would be ended, with no indictments. Prime Minister Blair fully endorsed the decision to shut down the probe, and both he and Lord Goldsmith claimed that any further action would jeopardize the national security of Great Britain. Washington sources who have been tracking the scandal for years reported to EIR that Prince Bandar had threatened the British government with a cutoff of all Saudi cooperation in the war on terrorism if the probe went any further.
Up through 2001, there were no laws in Great Britain against bribery---!!! |

" The "Great Circle of Crisis": Britain's War Plan Against the American System 12 Nov 2007
November 12, 2007 (LPAC)—The following article by EIR reporter Jeffrey Steinberg will appear in a November issue of Executive Intelligence Review magazine, entitled, "Will British `Great Game' Ploy Trigger World War III?"
At no point, since the end of World War II, have so many regions of the world been swept up in chaos, asymmetric warfare, and economic disintegration, as at the present moment. Coming at a time when the global financial system has also already collapsed, this combination of seemingly isolated, ``regional'' conflicts and destabilizations represents nothing less than a growing threat of a global, asymmetric World War III.
- The Mirror of History -
Popular myth has it that World War I came about as the result of a seemingly isolated event: the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo. However, then as now, it was British geopolitical machinations that brought the world to the brink of general war--before the shots were fired in the Balkan capital.
It was Britain's King Edward VII, formerly the long-reigning Crown Prince Edward Albert, who was the architect of the late 19th- and early 20th-Century events that ultimately boiled over into World War I. Edward's overriding geopolitical goal was to quash the spread of the American System across Eurasia and Africa.----"
4th June, 2007.
President putin is wrong when he says that russia should or will target the missile on europe if america goes with anti missile defence plan in Europe. Russia must target (rather than should) the nuclear missiles with multiple war heads against all the cities, towns and big villages( including military instalations) of england because this cold war -like the one before- is being started by england for the benefit of english race only-.it is race war between the english parasite race versus the rest of the world-the sooner the rest of the world realizes that better it is for the world. look how germany wes villified soon after fall of soviet union-look how russia is being vilified immediately after Putin made russia strong. say even if russia destroys usa then if britian or rather england is allowed to exist then the english parastic dog race will ,by very parasitic nature, will try to disrupt russia or other countries' existence. therefore instead of attacking usa or poland it is best policy of russia to attrack and destroy to the whole of england which must be evaporated to a rubble.

British Empire's 'Globalization' Policy: 162 Million People Live on Less than 50 Cents a Day Increase Decrease
November 14, 2007 (LPAC)--In a report released November 14, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), pointed out that at least 162 million people are living below 50 cents a day (this after the recent slide in value of the dollar!)
Despite the flatness of the world, as discovered by Tom Friedman, and the hallelujahs sung to glorify the economic liberalization and globalization over the last two decades, IFPRI says that very little poverty reduction occurred in this category of the ultra-poor. If you considered these 162 million as belonging to a single nation, it would be the seventh-largest in the world after China, India, the United States, Indonesia, Brazil, and Pakistan.
According to IFPRI, 121 million of the 162 million live in sub-Saharan Africa and about 29 million in South and East Asia.

" Invading Washington by John Brown and Tom Engelhardt TomDispatch
Over the last seven years, it's often been said that George W. Bush exists in a bubble. When it comes to the cast of characters in his administration – and the Washington Consensus generally – it turns out he isn't alone. The other night I watched Harvard academic Joseph Nye and former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage discuss the crisis in Pakistan with talk-show host Charlie Rose. The two of them had just finished co-chairing a Center for Strategic and International Studies commission that produced a report, clearly meant for the next administration, on wielding American "smart power" in the world.
Nye is an exceedingly conventional American internationalist; Armitage is a former "Vulcan" who, in the first years of the Bush administration, though Colin Powell's deputy at the State Department, was close to the neocons of the Pentagon, but may now be repositioning himself for a Democratic administration. They could be said to represent the heartland of the present Washington Consensus.
Yet when they talked of Pakistani autocrat Pervez Musharraf ("I mean, Musharraf has been our boy, but we've not been able to do much with it…"), of the Pakistani situation more generally ("I mean, after Musharraf, there are other secular generals…"), and of the American role there ("Well, we have to be working with both Benazir Bhutto and also with our contacts in the army to make sure this doesn't turn into chaos…," "If you do anything to help Benazir, it has to be done very quietly and behind the scenes…"), they might as well have been discussing deploying federal "smart power" to Maryland, or more appropriately, to the U.S. Territory of Guam. Conceptually, they remain deep inside Washington's Pakistan, Washington's dream of a controllable world. -----" |
