trishul is a short range radar guided surface to air missile. The closed loop control and guidance involving ground radars, on board missile control and guidenace unit is a complex task even after 20 odd years this missile is not inducted due to the missiles inability to hit the targets consistently. Akash is a 25-30 km range surface to air. If Akash is a sucess with a much longer range than trishul with the same radr guidence ,then why trishul is a failure, whose range is much smaller?As usual Akash and trishul teams wont they share info on how to fine tune the control and guidence?
