The helicopter aerobatics display team, Sarang from the Indian Air Force will be performing at the Berlin Air show from 27th of this month. The six-day show will be led by the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Shashank Misra and will comprise of 14 officers and 32 airmen. Thereafter, the Team will participate in various displays at Biggin Hill Air Show in England. The two-day show at south of London will be followed by displays at the Waddington Air Show in July, to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Royal Air Force.

India successfully tested its nuclear-capable surface-to-surface Prithvi missile from a test range in eastern Orissa state on Friday, defence officials said.

Indian Air Force will deploy for the first time unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to combat insurgency in Northeast India.
