The AWACS was put on show on April 17 this year for the first time to mark the Islamic Republic of Iran's Military Day.
All electronic, radar and engine parts of the aircraft are 'prepared and operated' by Iranian experts, Fars news agency reported on Tuesday.
Iran's AWACS -- along with other modern reconnaissance equipment including radars with a range of more than 1,000 kilometers -- can track down any military moves around the Iranian borders, the report said.
Iran's defense industry has made great technological advances since the Islamic Revolution that ended Iran's reliance on Western powers in obtaining defense equipment.
Last month, Iran's Air Force chief said the Islamic Republic has also launched the production line of radar-evading 'stealth' fighter jets.
Brigadier General Ahmad Miqani said that the new jets will significantly enhance Iran's defense capabilities.
